To configure G Suite (now Google Workspace) with your domain:
Step 1: Sign up for Google Workspace
- Go to workspace.google.com
- Click "Get started" and follow the setup process
- Enter your domain name when prompted
Step 2: Verify domain ownership
Google will provide you with a verification method. The most common methods are:
- TXT record verification (recommended)
- HTML file upload
- Meta tag verification
For TXT record verification:
- Log in to cp.amicatek.link
- Go to Manage Hosting → Manage
- Select Zone Editor
- Add a new TXT record with the verification string provided by Google
Step 3: Set up MX records
Add the following MX records in your DNS zone:
| Priority | Mail Server |
|---|---|
| 1 | aspmx.l.google.com |
| 5 | alt1.aspmx.l.google.com |
| 5 | alt2.aspmx.l.google.com |
| 10 | alt3.aspmx.l.google.com |
| 10 | alt4.aspmx.l.google.com |
Step 4: Configure additional services (optional)
You may also want to add these CNAME records for additional Google services:
- calendar → ghs.googlehosted.com
- drive → ghs.googlehosted.com
- sites → ghs.googlehosted.com
Note: DNS changes can take up to 24-48 hours to propagate. Google Workspace email may not work immediately after configuration.
Verification
Once configured, you can verify your setup by:
- Checking your domain verification status in Google Admin Console
- Sending a test email to your new Google Workspace email address
- Using Google's MX record checker
